Stephen G. Ruby, MD, MBA

Earned his MD ('81) and bachelors degree ('77) from Wayne State University in Detroit.  He completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology ('85) and Fellowship in Surgical Pathology ('86) at St. John Hospital and William Beaumont Hospital in Detroit.  His MBA in innovation and technology ('98) is from Illinois Benedictine University.   

Dr. Ruby has held many different positions during his 33 years in the greater Chicagoland area hospitals, including medical directorships of various laboratory sections, Department Chairman and Medical Director. He has founded several laboratories, including CAS reference laboratory and 4path, Ltd. , the latter of which grew over a decade and it was recently acquired. 

Dr. Ruby has been involved in organized medicine as a past president of the the Illinois Society of Pathology and Chicago Pathology Societies.  He has served on many committees of the College of American Pathologists.  Dr. Ruby has over 35 peer reviewed publications, is a reviewer for the Archives of Pathology and has provided countless presentations to pathologists, physicians, podiatrists and patients on a wide variety of medical and business topics.

He is the recipient of the Chicago Pathology Society John Gruhn Lifetime Achievement Award and the CAP Distinguished Service Award.

William (Bill) Pazely

Earned his bachelor's degree from Michigan State University.  He has several professional designations in Risk Management (ARM) and Benefits (CBC).   Bill's entire 30+ year career has been in the insurance industry. This includes Actuary for Auto Owners Insurance Company, world-wide Risk Manager for General Binding Corporation and positions in several Fortune 500 companies (including Midas and Field Container)  in Risk Management, Benefits, Human Resources and Safety.  

While at Midas, Bill was responsible for the creation of a health insurance program for franchise owners. Since 1998 Bill has practiced as an insurance agent specializing in property & casualty, workers’ compensation, health & life insurance, including retirement plans. His unique background provides a vital advantage to all of his clients.
